NICO stands for Neuralgia Inducing Cavitational Osteonecrosis. It stands for chronic inflammation of the jawbone, a degenerative and inflammatory process that often develops over several years.
This inflammatory process in the jawbone often goes unnoticed for a long time. It is first recognized when the mucous membrane is opened by the dentist. In some cases, it produces inflammatory substances for years, which spread through the blood and lymphatic system to all organs and can cause damage there.

NICO: What is the risk of osteomyelitis of the jaw?
NICO is a classic interference field. The inflammatory messengers that emanate from inflammatory processes in the jawbone can affect the entire body without the patient or doctor being able to find the actual cause.
Those affected often complain of migraines, concentration problems and fatigue, but illnesses such as rheumatism, high blood pressure and various pain conditions (often in the back, face or in the form of shoulder-arm syndrome) are also possible companions of NICO.
