When does organic dentistry use Choukroun A-PRF™?

The natural, biocompatible tissue created by the Choukroun A-PRF™ method is beneficial for acute and chronic diseases in the oral cavity.
The method is primarily used when tissue regeneration is particularly important to ensure healing, for example

  • after tooth extraction
  • for implantations
  • for bone augmentation
  • as part of NICO therapy (treatment of osteomyelitis of the jaw) or generally after surgical therapies in the oral cavity

Even chronically exposed tooth necks, which result in secondary complaints and diseases, can be gently covered with the body’s own membrane, which is produced by the dentist.

How exactly does
Choukroun A-PRF™ work?

To produce the natural tissue from autologous material, a small amount of blood is first taken from the patient and centrifuged. This produces a suspension of concentrated thrombocytes. These special blood cells, also known as platelets, are important for blood clotting. A membrane can be produced from them within a quarter of an hour, which can be used excellently for the above-mentioned purposes. It is inserted by the biological dentist at the required location and can close the wound there and support wound healing without causing intolerance reactions.
